First Friday: Imagine the Moon

The night sky inspires! On First Friday, April 4th join us for a three part journey into how.  First, check out the planetarium gallery, which hosts the works of Frances Babb.  Frances was inspired by NASA imagery of Mars, and set to creating a series of paintings that bring that planet down to Earth.  Before the show explore 14 of her beautiful paintings in our gallery.  At 7pm, we will host a planetarium favorite, Imagine the Moon.  This show, by the Adler Planetarium, explores the amazing creative works inspired by the Moon.  This ranges from kids' artwork, to works of fiction, to our current understanding of how the Moon came to be.  You will love the imagery and information on our 360 dome projection screen.  Finally, bask under the stars in the comfort of our theater, as our projectionist explains all that you can find in your evening sky.
